Yo. You guys. This was amazing. Absolutely. Amazing. It was everything I hoped it would be and even more. My girlfriend came close to getting kicked in the face by Mary Timony every second song and very nearly took a guitar to the head. Carrie Brownstein was just fierce. ‘Racehorse’ and ‘Ask the Angels’ were total highlights, at one point it seemed like she could have been singing it to me, rather than just at me. Also she pulled a crotch thrust in my general direction. My girlfriend summed it up when she said it was essentially seeing all her childhood heroes in one place. It was so good. I kept finding myself watching Janet Weiss drum, she’s as good as I remember her. The Oran Mor was a great venue as well. Great gig. Great great great. I need to go process that.
